Our goal for the ministry to our young children and youth is based upon the liturgy for the Affirmation of Baptism [which] describes the faith practices that grow out of our baptism (Evangelical Lutheran Worship, page 236). We are to “...live among God’s faithful people; hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s Supper; proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed; serve all people following the example of Jesus; and strive for justice and peace in all the earth.”
Weekly Children's Church lessons (for ages Kindergarten-4th grade) follow the liturgical cycle of the church service, creating a bridge for family engagement in the gospel.
Confirmation class facilitates the study of Lutheran tenets and how our youth assimilate those into their families, church, and community.
We also offer a variety of worship environments for younger children also. Within the sanctuary, there is a carpeted play area that allows families the share worship time. For those needing a quiet space or extra room to explore, we have a playroom available also. We want to welcome all families and provide an open, engaging community.
- Children's Church takes place during worship on Sundays at 9:30am
